An effort to target impaired drivers over Super Bowl weekend proves a success for the State Highway Patrol.
The effort began on Friday February 4 and ended Monday February 7th.
During that time six drivers were arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired and 15 individuals were arrested for under age consumption of alcohol.
The Ohio Investigative Unit also reports issuing eight citations to businesses that sold alcohol to underage persons.
No fatal or serious accidents took place during the weekend.
Troopers with the Patrol partnered with the Zanesville, South Zanesville, Frazeysburg and Dresden Police Departments and deputies from the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office to conduct this crackdown.
