State Route 13 between Interstate 70 and Thornville was shutdown for more than an hour after an early morning accident Thursday.
Trooper Robert Franks with the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says it happened around 8:45 on S.R. 13 at Maple Street just south of Edgewater.
He says Nathan Garvin of New Lexington was traveling northbound in a Buick SUV when he went left of center and struck Brent Schneider of Zanesville driving a Chevy pick-up truck head on.
Both drivers were taken to Licking Memorial Hospital. Schneider was treated and released and Garvin was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. His condition is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
