Benefit for Andrew Prince

The Dresden community is helping out one of its own.

Sons of the American Legion Post 399 is hosting a benefit for Andrew Prince. He is a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force and was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma several months ago. He is currently receiving treatment in Arizona. The group wanted to raise money to help ease his medical expenses.

"That's what the sons organization is about to support the veterans, he's local, we do a lot of benefits here for people and it's really nice to do something for a local veteran and help him with his battle we hope," said Chaplain Dave Mathew.

The benefit will have an all you can eat breakfast buffet, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle.

"I believe we're going to have a videographer be the word that anyone wants to give a greeting we'll send him a CD with everybody's greeting to him," said Mathew.

The event will be held this Saturday from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Tickets cost $6.00. If you are unable to attend the event, you can still make a donation by calling 740-297-3151 or 740-819-1513.
