The unemployment rate in Ohio is continuing to decline and that means more jobs are becoming available for area residents.
Job Developer Julie Metzger with the Muskingum County Opportunity Center said this time of year always seems to be promising.
"A lot of times, when you get into March, April, May things start to pick up not only with seasonal positions, but we have also been working with local manufacturing companies," said Metzger.
She said they are also seeing more job opportunities for construction on housing and roadwork. She suggests expanding your search if you're having trouble finding employment.
"They want to not only limit themselves to Muskingum County, but be able to expand to Licking County towards the Pataskala area, they're going to have to broaden their job search," said the job developer.
