One woman is sent to the hospital after her vehicle overturned Wednesday.

It happened just after noon on Chandlersville road, near Three Towers road in Muskingum County. According to Sgt. Clark Felix of the State Highway Patrol, a woman driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee was headed westbound on Chandlersville road, when she swerved off the left side of the road, struck two trees, and overturned in a field.

Wayne Township Fire Department along with Community Ambulance were able to extract her from the vehicle and transport her to Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. Sgt. Felix says he isn't sure the extent of her injuries, but adds she was conscious and alert.

The woman was not believed to be speeding, and it is not yet known what caused her to drive off the roadway. Sgt. Felix says citations are likely pending further investigation.
