The Wilds is setting itself up to be a premiere tourist destination for the state of Ohio.
Jack Hanna and some his animal guests spoke to business about his plans for the conservation park over the next few years and how they can help spread the word about The Wilds.
"We're adding two major that have been there before F-U-N and L-O-V-E which means they're going to leave here loving the animal world even more than they do now which The Wilds has done before but they're also going to have a lot of fun there," said Jack Hanna of the Columbus Zoo and The Wilds.
Some of the fun includes a two hour zip line over the animals which should be open by July and animal shows on the weekends featuring native snakes and reptiles. The cheetahs will have their own shows.
"There's nothing like The Wilds," said Hanna. "I'm not saying that because I'm here. There's nothing like it anywhere in this country and probably in the world."
Also added this year is horseback riding and guided fishing trips. Tours will be cut from three hours to an hour fifteen. Visitors will see everything they saw before just in a shorter amount of time.
The Wilds is open Saturdays and Sundays in May and will open daily in June.
