If you aren't buckled up behind the wheel, the State Highway Patrol is looking for you!
The nationwide "Click it or Ticket" campaign officially kicked off Monday. Troopers along with other law enforcement officials will be out in full force targeting motorists who are not wearing their seat belt.
"Any chance we can get to make somebody or encourage somebody to wear their seat belt when they don't normally do is something we strive to do here at the Highway Patrol and other agencies as well," said Trooper Eric Williams, Zanesville Post.
Williams says law enforcement will not only be on the lookout for drivers not buckled up, but others as well.
"It could be a driver, it could be a passenger, child safety seats, booster seats as well, we're looking for all those violations," said Williams.
The campaign runs from now until June 5th.
