A Perry County home is destroyed by fire. The Muskingum Valley Red Cross is reporting that a home at 2863 Township Road 318 in Corning burned Wednesday afternoon. Those living in the home are identified as Dona Oldham, Rebekah Garrett, Jennifer Chappa and Steven Gilbert. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross says five fire departments were called to the scene, including Corning, Crooksville, Roseville, New Lexington and McConnelsville. The Red Cross says the cause of the fire is an explosion in the garage that destroyed the home. The family is receiving Red Cross funding for food, clothing and temporary lodging.
