Local donations for Joplin, Missouri tornado victims will not be picked-up Monday as planned.

A semi- truck from Missouri was originally scheduled to pick-up and deliver hundreds of donated items to the tornado victims, but the semi broke down on its way to Zanesville. Now, volunteers are asking for you to help, by making monetary donations. The donations will go toward sending a U-haul to Missouri, as well as pay for gas expenses. The trip is expected to cost over $1,000 dollars, and volunteers say that pre-paid credit cards, such as Visa, are the best way to donate. The delivery is scheduled to take place Tuesday.  If you would like to make a donation, you can call 740-297-5422.
