A Zanesville man was sentenced Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court on charges in connection with an incident at the Lighthouse Inn last summer.

30-year-old Cody Fisher appeared before Judge Kelly Cottrill where he received a 10 year prison sentence on charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, attempted aggravated arson and theft.

An attempted murder charge was dropped in April after Fisher plead guilty to the other charges stemming from an incident in September of 2010.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says Fisher entered the Lighthouse Inn on Old River Road and assaulted the bartender while robbing the establishment.

Lutz says Fisher then put the female bartender in a cooler and attempted to set the bar on fire with her inside.

The bartender suffered injuries and had to be treated at a Columbus hospital.
