The WIC program at the Muskingum Valley Health Center will soon have a new home.

Jeremy Davis with Brian Addis Architects met with the Muskingum County Commissioners Thursday afternoon to discuss the upcoming move, which will in the end, help better serve the southeast Ohio community.

"Essentially what we're trying to do is to relocate WIC out of that existing building to the Help Me Grow building," said Davis.

The Help Me Grow building, on Putnam Avenue, will undergo renovations to help utilize the building more cost effectively, but there is a time constraint.

"Another client of ours is occupying the building on Adair currently, it's scheduled for demolition in late July so we need to get wic out of that building as soon as possible and into their new home, said Davis.

The building renovations are expected to be completed by the end of July. Bids will start going out for the renovations in the next couple of weeks at the Muskingum County Commissioners.
