Some kids across the area stepped away from the video games and TV for a couple days and took to the great outdoors.
About 100 children took part in 'Camp Adventure' on Friday afternoon. Kids spent 2 days learning outdoor activities, such as, mountain biking, archery, bird watching and gardening. Education Specialist, Nicole Hafer, said, this years theme is "Get Outside."
"What makes me really pleased to be apart of the camp is just getting the kids outside," said Hafer. "A lot of these kids live in the city and they don't get to go outside and do a lot of things that make them active."
Hafer's daughter, Olivia, has been taking part in the camp for about 5 years and said, whether it's raining or the sun is shining they have a good time.
"Usually we go inside and do most of the activities," said Olivia. "And if we can't, we'll hold it to the side and we might not end up doing it."
Camp Adventure is open to 4th, 5th and 6th graders and is held every year at Friendly Hills Camp Grange near Ellis Dam.
