LPGA player and Zanesville native, Michele Redman, returned to the area for a good cause.

Redman joined the 3rd annual 'Afternoon Tee' golf outing at Zanesville Country Club to help raise scholarship funds for local female students.

"Fortunately Mike Durant was the one that started wanting to do something with me and involve a charity," said Redman. "And he called me and we talked, so we picked Zane State. It's worked really well, it's easy for me, they do all the hard work and I just come."

Redman conducted a golf clinic earlier in the day and spent time with each team on the course.

"I kind of felt like I had an ace in the hole with Michele," said Event Organizer, Mike Durant.  "We could put a clinic on and attract people."

Fourteen lady-only teams took part in the event. As part of the fun, four male caddies were auctioned off. All money raised will go to a female Zane State Student.
