Authorities in Perry County execute search warrants at two homes in New Lexington in an investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Sgt. Kevin Starrett says Monday night detectives seized chemicals related to manufacturing of meth along with lab supplies at a home on East Water Street and East Union Street.

He says during the investigation detectives also discovered an active meth lab at another location near Shawnee.

He says six people were taken into custody and face criminal charges.
