Zane State College receives a major financial boost Thursday for the expansion of its Cambridge campus.

Basic Systems, Incorporated announced a $250,000 investment to Zane State's Building a Vibrant Community Initiative.

This makes the Cambridge based company the largest corporate contributor to the project.

Zane State College alumnus Gene Oliver and his business partner, Tom Stemmer,  presented the check to Zane State President Dr. Paul Brown.

The new state-of-the-art building in Cambridge will accommodate well over 500 more students and trainees each term with modern laboratories, flexible classroom space, a full array of academic support service and community meeting rooms.

The projected ground breaking for the building is in 2012.

Basic Systems, Incorporated will have their company name on a laboratory in the new building.
