The right fit for a struggling economy... A local consignment shop opens for plus-sized customers.

Curvy Closet, a full-figured consignment shop celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday. The shop located at 914 Adair Avenue in Zanesville specializes in consignment and resale of women's plus-size clothing. Owner and Operator, Kristin Leftover, who has an eye for fashion, said she always struggled to find the right fit for her own body type.

"Come here and I understand you know, what they are going through if they hate trying on clothes," said Leftover. "Things like that, I can understand what looks good on people cause not, even big girls not everyone's shaped the same. You kind of got to extenuate the positive and hide the negatives, so I can help with that."

The shop will mark Zanesville's 28th ribbon cutting in the past two years. Mayor Zwelling said, as a city we average a grand opening each month.

"Other Mayor's that I talk to about it can not believe it," said Zwelling. "And so we struggled to balance the budget as a big company as the city of Zanesville but the merchants are not doing too poorly in this recession."

Complete outfits can be purchased for under twenty dollars. Curvy Closet will feature a variety of brands such as Lane Bryant, Dress Barn, Fashion Bug, and New York and Company.
