Zanesville Police today issued a statement concerning the death of a 14-year-old boy. Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says detectives continue to investigate the death of Grant Hickman of Zanesville. Hickman was found dead early Saturday morning inside a residence located in the 300 block of Taylor Street in Zanesville. Zanesville School Officials say alcohol is suspected in the teenager’s death. Roush says Detectives continue to interview several juveniles that were present at the Taylor Street residence, as well as the homeowners. An autopsy was performed on Hickman Sunday at the Licking County Coroners Office. Toxicology results from the autopsy will not be available for some time. No arrests have been made in this incident. Roush says once the investigation is completed the results will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office for determination of charges.
