The Salvation Army is clearing the tables of clothing.
The organization is holding its annual school clothing giveaway. The office coordinator for the Salvation Army said that donations of boys and girls clothing were both up this year.
"It's a really big deal and you know it's a warm feeling," said Mindy McCloy. "It's awesome to be a part of it because it is important to them. A lot of the children that come in really depend on this."
McCloy said the children especially like trying on the shoes. Anything left over from the two day event will be used again.
"Anything that is left over we might go ahead and box it up and use it for next year," said McCloy. "If it's winter things we might use it for our Christmas giveaway."
The Salvation Army is also getting ready for its vacation Bible school. It will take place August 8-12 for kids ages 3-18. Some transportation is available for those who'd like to attend.
