Zanesville's famous bridge is seeing a different type of traffic this weekend.
The third annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival is underway. More than 200 artists spent the day setting up their displays. Zanesville Downtown Association Manager Dana Matz said the festival is bridging the community together.
"It's a great way to show off our world-famous y-bridge, our historical canal park, and it shows the importance of art, not only for young kids, but the historical aspect for our community," said Matz.
Matz said visitors can enjoy art of all mediums, musical performances and tasty treats from local vendors. Jim Hart and his wife showcase their work every year. He said they have expanded their collection to include pottery, fabric and woodwork.
"This is close-to-home for us, and it has been a good show," said Hart. "A lot of people come, and a lot of people buy."
The activities will continue tonight until 9 PM. The booths will re-open at 10 AM tomorrow morning. For a list of artists at the festival, you can visit www.ybridgeartsfestival.com.
