Driver Errors Cause Rollover

Two almost simultaneous rollover crashes in Duncan Falls tied up troopers and traffic Thursday evening.

Around 5 p.m. troopers were called to the corner of State Route 60 and Millers Lane for a three-car-accident. According to the State Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Judy Hooper of Duncan Falls was stopped in a Chevy HHR on Water Street and 48-year-old Tammy Reed of Duncan Falls was stopped in a Nissan Rogue on Millers Lane.

Troopers say 72-year-old Jean Dill of McConnelsville ran a red light with her Toyota Scion on State Route 60, striking Hooper's vehicle and causing it to over-turn. Hooper's car then hit Reed's vehicle.

All three drivers went to the hospital for injuries. Dill received a ticket for running the red light.

While troopers were responding to the first crash, they received a call of another rollover accident one block south.

"We have two counties to cover but minimal coverage so , that's how it works." says Trooper Todd Henry.

That accident happened just in front of the Citizens National Bank. Henry says 20-year-old Timothy Kincer of Westerville was driving southbound on Route 60 when he collided with 42-year-old Robert Parsons of Athens who was northbound.

"Mr. Kincer attempted to make a left turn in front of Mr. Parsons and was struck broad side and then rolled over," Henry says.

A passenger in Parsons vehicle received minor injuries. Kincer was cited for failure-to-yield.
