The Ohio National Road Association is celebrating another milestone.

The association unveiled the interpretive sign for the Old Stone House in Norwich.  Immediate Past President of the Ohio National Road Association Cyndie Gerken said the house is the 16th of 60 historic sites to be honored.

"It's the only stone house in Norwich," said Gerken.  "This house is on the national register of historic places.  It's a notable site in Norwich, and that's one of the criteria we look at."

Owner of the Old Stone House Tom Taylor said the house has been standing for 176 years.  He said the sign will encourage more tourists to stop by.

"I would say it's very gratifying," said Taylor.  "This is small town America in Norwich, Ohio.  It's not very well-known.  Maybe it was back in the 1930s and 1940s, but now it's kind of like a forgotten little town."
