The heat wasn't enough to stop rib lovers Saturday afternoon as the 8th annual Rib Fest wrapped up in downtown Zanesville.
Co- Chairman Ernest Bynum said the Friday and Saturday event continues to grow each year with more than 5,000 people in attendance.
"A lot of people are trying to get us to go to Sunday," laughed Bynum. "I say if we went to Sunday I'd be dead."
The festival offers more than just ribs. Vendors as far as Florida have returned each year to sell their product. For Bynum his favorite part, "I love the music, I don't really eat too many ribs as you can tell."
All proceeds will go toward scholarships for area students looking to go on to college. Bynum said on average they raise about $8,000 each year.
