Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says his deputies investigated a report of a b-b gun in an area school Friday. Lutz says it happened at Falls Elementary on Kimes Road. The Sheriff says a nine-year-old boy brought the gun to school in his backpack to show it to a friend while they were on the school bus. Lutz says the child never pulled out the unloaded b-b gun and had no criminal intent. Lutz says no charges will be filed against the child. West Muskingum Schools Superintendent William Harbron says the child has been suspended for the day. Harbron says the child’s family is working with the school to deal with the issue.
