The Wilds will celebrate a record breaking year in attendance by hosting their first-annual Wildzfest.
The event is free to the whole family and will include kid friendly crafts, games, puppet show, and a special visit from Dora the Explorer. Adults will enjoy the day too, with delicious seasonal food and adult beverages.
"It gives people the opportunity to get up-close, to see live bands, listen to the music, have great food, enjoy stories about these endangered animals and learn a little bit more about The Wilds," said Senior Vice President of Operation Tom Stalf.
In addition to the activities, all regular tours will be open and available at regular cost. This includes Open Air, Zipline, Horseback Riding, Fishing and more.
"Having The Wilds in this area is very very important to the community, but also for these highly endangered animals because The Wilds stands for having fun but it's also about conservation, learning about restoration ecology and how we can make a difference for wild life and wild places," said Stalf.
The festivities will run Saturday from 10-6:00pm. Parking will be available for $5. You can also visit The Wilds throughout the month of October - they're open Thursday - Sunday, with the Zipline available 7 days a week.
