A ribbon cutting ceremony is held in Downtown Zanesville.
In the past 2 years the Y-City has celebrated 31 grand openings. The in-home care and support business "Home Helpers" marks the most recent addition to downtown. Franchise Owners John and Cindi Morehead said the ambition of "Making Life Better" affects more than just their clients-but the family too.
"Some of the things we do, particularly personal care, the kids don't want to do that, it makes for a very difficult visit," said John Morehead. "When we take care of all the things, we can come in and do that so that when their kids visit they can have a quality visit and not have to worry about anything."
'Home Helpers' is now located in the Masonic Temple. The Moreheads are one of 12 new tenants but Site Manager Bob Grayson said the building still remains at only about a 40% occupancy level.
"We've tried to preserve it and keep it looking the way it was advantage appropriate," said Grayson. 'It was designed for business purposes for the first floor, second and third floor."
Zanesville will present two more area businesses with a ribbon cutting this week.
