A rollover accident near Dresden sent one person to the hospital on Thursday.
State Highway Patrol Trooper Leroy Bethel said it happened around 1 PM on State Route 60 just north of State Route 16. The Dresden Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call.
"He drove off the right side of the roadway, struck the embankment and rolled over in the ditch," said Bethel.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. His injuries are unknown, but Bethel said the man was alert and responsive.
"He appeared to have his seat belt on," said Bethel. "He was still sitting in the driver's seat when I came up. They did have to extricate him from the vehicle."
He said the soggy weather may have had a role in the crash. Troopers were unable to identify the make and model of the SUV due to the extent of the damage.
