A man who terrorized southeastern Ohio hunters and fisherman in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s has died. The Ohio Department of rehabilitation and corrections says that 61-year-old Thomas Dillon – a serial killer – died Friday of natural causes. Dillon who was serving five consecutive life terms at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility -- was convicted of stalking the woods of southeastern Ohio and killing five men including an out of state hunter in Muskingum County. Victims were also killed in Coshocton and Noble Counties. He was captured November 27th of 1992. Dillon – who was from Stark County -- would drive rural back roads with a high powered rifle looking for victims. He was caught when a friend of Dillon’s called police with suspicions and a gun dealer turned over a rifle that was used in the slayings that Dillon has sold him.
