A 26-year-old Zanesville man is being held on breaking and entering, two counts of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation.

Zanesville Police said the suspect walked into the Starfire Gas Station on Pine and Pershing, grabbed packages of cigarettes and walked out the door around midnight Monday.

Two hours later the same thing happened at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street, with the same brand of cigarettes being taken.

Security video from both businesses confirmed that the same person took part in both thefts.

K-9 Paco was able to track the suspect to a home on Indiana Street where officers knocked on the door and recognized the suspect from security cameras.

The suspects name will be released after he's been formally charged.
