Five Zanesville churches came together Sunday afternoon in celebration of the City Wide Singspiration.
Every-other month one of the five churches hosts the musical gathering. Sunday's took place at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
"We do a cross reference of songs, you're going to hear old gospel pieces and you're going to hear brand new pieces that were just written this year," explained Director of Music Susan Davis. "So it's a nice cross of age and time and music."
Although each choir has their own style Davis said the gathering of different faiths creates a single unity.
"The coming together through music is probably the easiest way to do that," said Davis. "The faiths are different but it's one God and one song and we all sing it together."
The City Wide Singspiration will meet again in January. It will take place the Sunday before Martin Luther King Day at the John McIntire Library in Zanesville.
