Two people are injured in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 70.
State Highway Patrol Trooper Jeff Fowler said it happened around 5:45 PM near the Adamsville exit on I-70.
"A white Acura was eastbound on I-70, and there's a lot of water on the roads," said Fowler. "We've had some heavy rain, and apparently he hydroplaned and lost control of the car, struck the median wall and overturned."
Fowler said two male juveniles suffered minor injuries. Both of them were taken to the hospital by their parents.
"When there's heavy rain, there's usually going to be a lot of water on the roads," said Fowler. "The key is just to slow down and try to avoid high water spots. If you do hit high water, let off the gas, try not to brake or make any excessive steering movements."
The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call. Traffic in the eastbound lanes was backed up for miles until the accident was cleared.
