Alcohol is said to be a factor in a fatal accident.

According to the Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol shortly before 6 o'clock Sunday evening 51-year-old Gary Fellure and his passenger 49-year-old Bruce Fellure- both of Newark- were traveling on Linnville Road in Franklin Township of Licking County when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a pole. Bruce Fellure was pronounced dead at the scene by the Licking County Coroner. Gary Fellure was transported to the Licking County Memorial Hospital and later to the Grant Medical Center.

According to Highway Patrol, alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, and seatbelts were not in use at the time of the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
