"Ohio and the Civil War: 150 Years Later" is an exhibit now open in Zanesville.

The John McIntire Library will offer the display throughout the month of January. Assistant Director Blair Tom said the exhibit showcases the impact the war had on Ohio communities, and in turn the impact residents had on the war.

"We label our selves as the Information Destination, this is another way of hosting and sharing information through the lecture and through the exhibit," said Tom.

The special traveling panel exhibit will include lectures from the Ohio Historical Society's Mark Holbrook and Ohio University's Dr. Mike Kline.

"Dr. Mike Kline will be speaking the 21st on William McKinley who we know is the 25th President of the United States, but he had his first accomplishments on the battle field of the Civil War, so it will really tie in that rather well-known Ohioan and how he had his early leadership and impact on the Civil War on those battle fields,"said Tom.

The exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM. Admission is free to the public.

Guest speaker Mark Holbrook is scheduled for Saturday the 14th at 2:00PM and Dr. Mike Klein will speak on the 21st at 2:00.
