One woman is dead after an early morning house fire in Newark.

Assistant Chief of the Newark Fire Department David Decker said it happened at 45 Ramona Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Sunday.  Decker said 94-year-old Gussie Moorer was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.  No one else was home at the time of the fire.

Decker said investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
