The Kiwanis Club of Zanesville is asking for your diaper donations.
The service club is conducting a month-long effort to collect diapers for Young Lives, a support group and mentoring program for teen mothers.
"They're having a difficult time just because of their age and just learning about mothering and parenting," said Kiwanis Member Tom Sulens. "They're able to take a class and meet and find out what they can do to improve themselves and through that class they can earn points to get diapers and formula and other necessities."
This is the second year for the drive. Members hope to double the number of diapers raised last year, reaching their goal of 2,000 diapers.
"This is our way of giving a little assistance that hopefully they'll realize there are people out there who care for them and their children," said Sulens. "Providing the diapers, that's just one way of helping them with their expenses."
Anyone interested in donating diapers or cash to buy diapers can contact a member of the Kiwanis or drop off diapers at any of the listed locations. Sizes newborn through age two are being accepted.
