A local organization dedicated to service has a reason to celebrate.
The Zanesville Rotary Clubs will be celebrating their 107th anniversary internationally next Thursday. Club President Ruthie Ware said it is something all of the members are looking forward to.
"Our club is actually going to have a celebration, on the 23rd, here, to acknowledge that, and we are very proud to be a member of rotary international," said Ware.
The morning and noon clubs reach out locally to churches and organizations like Christ's Table, to take care of others within the community. Ware said they have plenty of projects planned for the future and would love for people to get involved.
"We're just a very dedicated group, we have lots of fun, and we love to have new members. So you can contact any rotarian in town about information if you're interested in serving your community."
Ware said the club likes hearing directly from the community of new ideas and projects to take on.
