The Mayor of Stockport appeared in Morgan County Court Wednesday for his initial hearing on rape charges. Morgan County Prosecutor Mark Howdyshell says Michael Shane Shuster waived his right to a preliminary hearing and his case was bound over to a Grand Jury.  Howdyshell says Shuster is facing two counts of rape.  The attorney for Shuster requested a reduction of his client’s one-million dollar bond and Judge Michael Lowe denied it.  Morgan County Sheriff Tom Jenkins says his office received a call earlier this month from Morgan County Children’s Services of an alleged rape of a juvenile.  Sheriff Jenkins says after an investigation Shuster was arrested on March 7th.  Prosecutor Howdyshell says the Grand Jury will convene in early April.
