A former Zanesville Mortgage broker made his first appearance in court to answer multiple theft charges.  38-year-old Jeff McLendon entered a plea of not guilty in front visting Judge Linton Lewis in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday morning.  McLendon was indicted by a Grand Jury last week on 12 theft charges…seven were felonies and five were misdemeanors.  Zanesville Police Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says the cases all stem from McLendon’s time at Greater Ohio Mortgage on Maple Avenue and McLendon Mortgage in downtown Zanesville.  Roush says McLendon was fired from Greater Ohio Mortgage after the alleged theft came to light.  A pre-trial hearing will be scheduled for McLendon who was released on his own recognizance after posting his $25,000 bond.
