Residents of a local retirement community received a special treat Wednesday...
Entertainer Denver Lee visited the folks at Primrose Retirement Communities. He performed what he calls the "Variety Pack"...Songs from the 1940s through the 70s.
"They've been received really good, because some of the songs haven't been sung for many years, and they recall the songs from the 40s and 50s, post war, World War II. In fact we're doing a tribute to the big band sound, Glenn Miller, today," said Lee.
Lee has also performed for the Primrose Community in Lancaster. He said he decided to bring his talents back to his hometown of Zanesville, and that it's always good to perform in front of fellow community members.
"I encourage them to sing and dance, and get involved. I enjoy anything with music. I haven't mastered rap yet, but I like all types of music."
Lee travels all over Ohio to perform and entertain at over 100 care centers.
