Multi-Vehicle Accident in Coshocton County

A Toronto, Ohio man is dead the victim of a multi-vehicle accident.

The Coshocton County Sheriff said that just before 9p.m. Tuesday a pick-up truck driving west on US 36 east of County Road 23 in Jackson Township hydroplaned on the wet roadway and went off the right side of the berm.

The truck driven by 39-year-old Frank Martin, then overcorrected going left of center, striking an eastbound tractor trailer driven by 40-year-old Tommy Liberati, of Clarksburg, West Virginia.

The pick-up then collided with a westbound van driven by 43-year-old Michelle Tompson of Coshocton, forcing it off the right side of the road and over an embankment.

The truck came to rest headed east in the westbound lanes.

Tompson was taken to Coshocton County Memorial and Martin was pronounced dead at the scene by the Coshocton County Coroner.

Another vehicle driven by 71-year-old Delores Ferrell of Warsaw, struck the debris in the roadway.
