The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that a sobriety checkpoint will be held Friday (tonight) from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.  Troopers say it will happen on US 22 in Guernsey County.  The checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.  The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.  The Patrol says it will be holding drunken driving checkpoints in 12 different areas including Licking and Fairfield Counties.
