Saturday marks the 12th Annual Zemba Brothers Family Field Day.
This field may look empty now, but by Saturday, thousands of people will pack this five acres of land and have the chance to operate heavy machinery, wrestle with pigs, and participate in a kiddy tractor pull.
Zemba Brothers Co-Owner, Chris Zemba said the idea came during Caterpillar's 50th Anniversary Celebration.
"You could just get on pieces of equipment, and basically test drive them, and we all got together and thought, "wouldn't it be neat if you could do that with kids?" And a couple of years later, we did it, said Zemba."
The event benefits, Boy Scouts of America, as well as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, ForeverDads and Eastside Community Ministries, which is working with Zemba Brothers to ask Field Day attendees to do something special...
"We are asking in exchange for free parking, that you bring a canned good. Now, we're not charging for parking either way, but we would ask that you do that," added Zemba.
Zemba also recommends you bring a change of clothes, or at least something you can get dirty in.
The event runs from 10 until 4 Saturday.
