One Injured in 6th Street Bridge Crash

Three cars were involved in a late-morning accident on the 6th Street Bridge Wednesday.

The accident happened just after 11a.m. at the intersection of Putnam Avenue and Muskingum Avenue of the south end of the bridge.

The Zanesville Police Department tells WHIZ that a silver Chevy Impala traveling west-bound on Muskingum Avenue ran a red light and crashed into a red Chevy Blazer trying to turn left onto Putnam Avenue.

The Blazer rolled over onto its side hitting a gray Ford Taurus traveling Just behind the SUV.

Officers on the scene tell us the female driver of the Blazer was the only one injured.

She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the Impala was cited at the scene for running a red light.

We will bring you more updates as they become available.
