A record number of ninety golfers hit the links at Jaycee's Golf Course in Zanesville Sunday.
This year's tournament, which provides three high school seniors with $1,000 scholarships. The winners are Zanesville's Payton Norris and Caitlin Coulson and Tri-Valley's Ashley Huffman.
"The money comes from local businesses, we sell tee signs and one of our major sponsors this year was the Zanesville Eagles Aerie 302. They were a major sponsor of $1,000 this year, " said Tyler Baughman, Jaycee's golf pro.
This is the fifteenth year for the golf outing. The golfers play a total of twenty-seven holes and are welcome to grab some burgers and cold drinks throughout the day.
"The format is three nine holes, they play nine holes best ball, nine holes alternate shot, nine hole scramble and all the players are broken up into flights based on their team handicap," said Baughman.
The scholarship presentation will take place at the Jaycee's Clubhouse at a later date.
