People in the Dresden community came together to support those who keep a watchful eye over the village.
About 150 people came out to the Municipal Building on the corner of Ninth and Chestnut streets for a spaghetti luncheon.
Assistant Police Chief Scott Caldwell said the proceeds raised from the meal will benefit the Dresden Police Department's cruiser fund.
The lunch included spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and drinks served by department employees and their family members.
Dresden Police T-shirts were also being sold for $10.
Caldwell said with budgets getting tighter every year, the department relies heavily on donations and community support to help make ends meet.
The event, which was originally scheduled for last week was delayed for a week as a result of powerful storms that ripped through the region.
The aftermath can still be seen in the rear of the building where an antenna tower came crashing down on top of a parked police cruiser, destroying the back windshield.
