A Morgan County man charged with murder makes his initial court appearance. 39-year-old Timmy Stevens is charged with the murder of John Davis III on June 12th in Morgan County. Thursday a Morgan County Common Pleas Judge set Stevens’ bond at one million dollars. Sheriff Tom Jenkins says witnesses said Stevens and Davis were arguing inside a home at 430 North Riverview Road last month when Stevens allegedly shot Davis in the head. When deputies arrived both men were gone. Witnesses say they got into a rental car and fled the area. The car was later found in Stockport. Davis’ body was found near Bald Eagle Road in Windsor Township. Stevens is being held in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
