The Marshall Tucker Band will still perform at Secrest Auditorium despite the loss of one its members.

Stuart Swanlund died at the age of 54, of natural causes. Funeral services will be held for him Saturday in South Carolina. The band plans to continue on and will only miss one show.

"The long time guitarist that had been with the band since 1985 I believe passed away this past Saturday and he wasn't currently touring with the band. They are going to perform their show here at Secrest Auditorium. Some people were confused by that," said Ticketcrush Concerts Kyle McPeck.

Opening for the band at Secrest is Confederate Railroad a pre-party is planned for the event starting at 4p.m.

"It's something we haven't had a chance to do a lot of before we're trying this to see if's it's actually a good addition to what we do to see if we can make a longterm event out of it," McPeck. "A whole afternoon/evening thing here at Secrest."

The concert is scheduled for Sunday August 26. Tickets are still available by contacting Ticket Crush Concerts.
