Thousands of people will pack the Muskingum County Fair this week to enjoy food and amusement rides.
While some enjoyed the comfort of a park bench, others sat strapped into a ride car screaming at the top of their lungs.
Towering high above the livestock stables and food vendors is one of the fair's newest attractions, The Supershot-- where riders are dropped from 80 feet in the air to the ground in a matter of seconds.
But that's just one of the many rides open to the public at this year's Muskingum County Fair.
Other rides like the Cliffhanger, Downdraft and Typhoon provide a thrilling view for those brave enough to step through the gate.
Even the ride operators say that their job never gets old.
"I enjoy doing this, I've been doing it for fifteen years, it just never gets old, it's just always something different, everybody's different,"said Mechanical Bull Operator, Travis Seniuk.
The morning rain wasn't enough to stop these adrenaline junkies from getting their fix-- and the short lines made it easier for those wanting to ride again.
So, whether you prefer something traditional like the Ferris Wheel, or something with a little more exciting, like the Mechanical Bull, people of all ages are sure to have a screaming good time.
