The popular Saturday farmers market made a move this week.
The Farmers Market typically takes place right inside the gates of the fairgrounds but because of the fair taking place, it was moved downtown. Not only is the fair affecting the location, it's also affecting the flow of customers, which wasn't surprising to the vendors.
"It's always slower because of the fair. Buts that's just typical for every county. I'm from McConnelsville and it's that way at McConnelsville, we go to Athens also and it's that way, it's just typical," said Hillary Arnold, owner of Arnold Farms.
The vendor turnout wasn't as big as it usually is on a Saturday either. Those who came brought a large variety of goods to sell but some distinctive items were missing from the usual lineup.
"This is much smaller than the one at the fairgrounds. Of course you've got all the meats and you've got more crafts and plants and stuff like that at the fairgrounds," said Arnold.
The Farmers Market will return to the fairgrounds next Saturday where it will continue to run until October.
