The Zanesville Highway Patrol says a sobriety checkpoint is planned for our area this week.
Troopers say the county where the checkpoint will take place will be announced the day prior to the event.
The Highway Patrol says the exact location will be announced the morning of the checkpoint.
Zanesville Post Lieutenant Steven Rine says based on provisional date, there were 380 OVI related fatal crashes in which 411 people were killed last year in Ohio.
State troopers made 23,748 OVI arrests last year in combating those dangerous drivers.
