The body of 50 year old Lance A. Hoopes was found on the sidewalk of his residence at 1327 Coopermill Road on Saturday morning at about 7 a.m. The Muskingum County Coroner's examination revealed his death was not natural.

"We have a couple follow-ups, a couple leads that we're looking at. We've spoken to a couple different people, we're still trying to follow up on those things and our detectives since Saturday have been following up on different things as we've been going through the weekend," said Sheriff Lutz.

The Sheriff is requesting anyone with information about Lance Hoopes or his whereabouts from Friday August 31st to the morning of Saturday September 1st to please call the sheriff's office at 740-452-3627 ext. 6149
